I've been watching a documentary called Sex and Love on Netflix.
So far they've discussed Japanese and Indian culture. I find it interesting how sexually repressed they are in many ways, and that due to this they act out in other ways.
In Japanese culture there isn't a lot of affection shared and sexless marriages are very common. They spend a lot of focus on entertainment, such as anime and gaming.
In India there is a lot of violence toward women. Even though they are the origin of kama sutra, they've become more sexually restrictive.
I look forward to learning more about other cultures and their view of sex.

Beirut and Berlin were episodes 4 and 5.
Beirut talks about Arab culture. It talks about living double life. A lot of focus on virginity, especially an intact hymen. The Purfume Garden is ancient erotica written by an Islamic Imam and conformed to the theology. It described it as a gift of God. Sex was for procreation but also pleasure (male and female pleasure). Now sex is more taboo, the name of God cannot be mixed with texts that talk about it. There is still a hold on the traditional woman.
Berlin is described as being more sexually liberal. There are many sex shops. An educational sex show is on regular television. Nudity is fairly acceptable, more so in the east. They also talk about rope bondage and domination in this episode. They briefly talk to Syrian refugees and contrasted their culture with their new home.
