The article is outstanding. I wish I could of read something like it when our kids were younger!

So I decided the other night to have a conversation about sex with all my kids present. I didn't get to graphic, but I was completely honest, not shaming and told my children what I thought about it and how important it was to a healthy relationship.
We also talked about when it's appropriate.
My 14 year old also educated everyone about what sex actually is. Some were not aware.
After the embarrassment dissipated, we actually had a very good conversation. Questions were asked, answers were given.
All in all it was very good. I told them to not be surprised if I bring more stuff up since I'm still researching the topics.
I have since had 2 of my children come and ask me questions. I was so happy they felt they could come to me and not go somewhere else.
I call this a parenting WIN!
